New Delhi, May 07 (ANI): Trouble continues to mount for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as LS Polls 2024 advances. Day ahead of SC hearing on Kejriwal’s interim bail, Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena on May 06 recommended an NIA probe against him for allegedly receiving political funding from the banned terrorist organization ‘Sikhs for Justice’ led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. LG received a complaint that AAP had received huge funds, USD 16 million from the extremist Khalistani groups. Funding was allegedly given to facilitate the release of the 1993 Delhi bomb blast case convict Devendra Pal Bhullar. In a letter to Union Home Secretary, Saxena referred to a video in which Pannun declares Kejriwal's AAP “received a staggering amount of USD 16 million in funding from Khalistani groups”. Saxena recommended that since a complaint is made against a CM and relates to political funding received from a banned terrorist organization “the electronic evidence adduced by the complainant requires investigation including forensic examination”. Shortly after LG’s recommendation, BJP tore the AAP convener and called it an “Anti-Bharat Stand” by Kejriwal. BJP National Spokesperson RP Singh also demanded an investigation after the allegations against the Delhi CM. However, AAP refuted the allegations terming it a conspiracy by the BJP out of frustration for foreseen defeat. Pannun is an India-designated terrorist who holds American, and Canadian citizenship and has been actively instigating Sikhs against India. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21 in connection with a money laundering probe relating to alleged irregularities in Delhi excise policy.
