"Bihar is the mother of democracy": DGP urges voters to use their weapon of 'Right to Vote' in Assembly polls

Patna, (Bihar) [India], November 5 : Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar, urged the voters of the state to participate in polling for the Bihar elections in huge numbers. He also appealed to the general public to use their weapon of 'Right to Vote' with fearless and called Bihar is the 'Mother of Democracy.'
Speaking with the ANI, on the first phase of the Bihar election, DGP Kumar said, "All the voters of the state are to participate in the upcoming Bihar elections in huge numbers. He also appealed to the general public to use their weapon of 'Right to Vote', to strengthen democracy, and also called Bihar is the Mother of Democracy."
He also added that, "if the public reports any untoward incident during the election, they can give a complaint to the officers posted there."
On the question of Mokama murder Case, Bihar DGP Vinay Kumar said, "Mokama incident is a separate matter and It has no impact on preparations. "All preparations are being done Arrests have been made in Mokama incident, all related videos available in cyberspace are being compiled and every person is being identified. After the elections, everyone will be arrested. Those who took the law into their hands will not be spared."
Earlier, Anant Kumar Singh, the Janata Dal (United) candidate from Mokama, was arrested by Patna Police in connection with the murder case of a Jan Suraaj supporter, Dularchand Yadav, the Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma said.
Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections on 121 constituencies will be conducted on November 6 (Thursday). The remaining 122 constituencies will vote in the second phase on November 11.
The 2025 Bihar Elections will have the main contest between the National Democratic Alliance and the Mahagathbandhan.
The NDA comprises the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
The Mahagathbandhan led by Rashtriya Janata Dal includes the Congress party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (CPI-ML) led by Deepankar Bhattacharya, the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM), and Mukesh Sahani's Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).
Additionally, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj has also staked claims on all 243 seats of the state.
