New Delhi [India], June 18 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pradeep Bhandari on Wednesday accused the Congress party of spreading false information and claimed that its credibility has dropped to zero.
He further alleged that if Congress leaders do not support India's official stand, it "shows the hearts of Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh are in Pakistan, not India."
Bhandari also referred to the Congress party as an "International Fake News Factory," saying it has become completely isolated and now only focuses on spreading lies.
Speaking to ANI, Pradeep Bhandari said, "... If the Congress party does not believe India's narrative, it should be clear that the hearts of Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh reside in Pakistan and not India. International Fake News Factory Congress party has become so isolated today that it has become its job to spread lies... Today, the credibility of the Congress party is at zero, historically and globally. No one in the Congress party, except Rahul Gandhi, believes in whatever Jairam Ramesh says. Suppose he has even a shred of patriotism. In that case, he should apologise to the country's people that during and after Operation Sindoor, he took the Pakistani narrative forward and weakened the country's narrative. He did not believe in the official stand of the Indian government because he felt that if he spoke against India, then the Congress party, which is the B team of Pakistan, would go forward..."
Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma also spoke on the issue, saying that India, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is not willing to compromise on terrorism and that Operation Sindoor will continue until terrorism is eliminated.
"...This is a transformed India, it is a young India which is not in the mood to compromise against terrorism. Operation Sindoor continues till the elimination of terrorism. There can be no clearer discussion on it than on a global platform...This is India led by PM Modi, which does not bend or make others bend. But if someone doesn't deviate from terror, India knows how to give a reply. PM had made this clear before all nations, and he presented it clearly even before the US today," Sharma said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit, which took place in Canada. During the conversation, which lasted over half an hour, PM Modi briefed the US President about India's Operation Sindoor and firmly conveyed the message that India has never accepted and will never accept mediation on the issues with Pakistan, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed.
Misri noted, "Prime Minister Modi made it clear to President Trump that during this entire episode, at no time, at any level, were issues such as India-US trade deal or mediation by the US between India and Pakistan discussed. The halt to military action was discussed directly between India and Pakistan, through existing channels of the two armies, and was at the request of Pakistan."
He added, "Prime Minister Modi stressed that India has never accepted mediation, does not accept it, and will never accept it. There is complete political unanimity in India on this issue."
The remarks come after the US President had time and again claimed that he had used trade as a means for the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan.
