Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel attends Indian Air Force's 93rd anniversary in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], October 6 : Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended the 93rd anniversary of the Indian Air Force at the South Western Air Command in Gandhinagar on Monday.
According to the Gujarat CMO, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes for the 93rd anniversary to the Air Force family, including the air warriors of the Command, stating that the Indian Air Force has always brought glory to the nation. He further added that the past decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a golden decade for the Indian Air Force.
He stated that under the guidance of the PM, during the recent Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force showcased exceptional courage, skill, and valour to the world, making every Indian proud of their heroic performance. The Chief Minister also said that the successful completion of a space mission by Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, which set a significant milestone, is an event that brings special pride to this 93rd anniversary of the Air Force.

The CM also lauded the South Western Air Command for contributing to social responsibility alongside protecting the air borders. He mentioned that 'SWAC' has been an active participant in social campaigns initiated by the Prime Minister, such as the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Fit India Movement, and International Yoga Day. He also praised the social and welfare initiatives of the 'Sangini' organisation, which is run by the women of the Air Force family.
During the event, Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command, welcomed the Chief Minister with an address and presented the background of the Air Force anniversary celebration.
The Gujarat Government said that Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Senior Air Staff Officer S. Srinivas, along with Air Force officers, air warriors, and their family members, participated in the celebration. The melodious tunes of the Air Force Band added a sense of grandeur and heroism to the event.
