Patna (Bihar) [India], November 8 : National working president of JD(U) Sanjay Kumar Jha has said that if Chief Minister Nitish Kumar decides on the political debut of his son after the Bihar polls, the party will accept it.
In an interview with ANI, Sanjay Jha, MP, also said that the Bihar election seems completely "one-sided" in favour of NDA, and while the ruling coalition has been completely integrated, the opposition "was completely scattered till the end".
Answering a query, Jha said Nitish Kumar cannot be anyone's mask and always calls the shots.
"NDA is winning, and for those who know Nitish Kumar or his politics, he cannot be anyone's mask. He can take suggestions from others, but he always calls the shots in everything... He is the longest-serving CM," Jha said.
The JD-U said that Nitish Kumar has founded the JD(U) and he has to take a call on any decision about the political debut of his son, Nishant Kumar. Jha said it also depends on Nishant Kumar's interest.
"This is a party formed by Nitish Kumar. Now, after this election, whatever call he has to take on this issue, he can take that call... But this much is certain, if Nitish Kumar decides, then the entire party will accept it," he said.
Jha said if Nishant Kumar comes and works in the party, it wil be a good thing. "If he comes, then the people of the party will like it."
There has been some speculation in the past of Nishant Kumar joining politics.
Jha also said that Nitish Kumar has not given a ticket to any party member in this election.
"In Bihar, women and Gen-Z largely play a role in government formation. Gen-Z are against family politics... Nitish Kumar never gave tickets to his family. He has such a big family... If he starts distributing tickets in his family, then surely 25-30 people will become candidates," he said.
Answering another query, Jha said there is no "Plan B" in the Bihar polls. "Nitish Kumar knows what the result will be. Because when you go among the people, you see their response... Will anyone go with the lantern? Here, every home has 24-hour electricity... Tejashwi Yadav always appears confident. But understand one thing: no matter who he is personally, the same elements you see in his party are the same people who were there then," he said.
"After we took feedback or were observing the mood during the campaigning, the election seemed to be a completely one-sided election. The reason is that the narrative of development that was created throughout the election and the number of women voters who cast their votes, that is, the hope they have regarding the work that has been done... Nitish Kumar has been the CM for 20 years... The NDA was completely integrated, and the opposition was completely scattered till the end... Even when the NDA was not with them, Nitish Kumar formed the government," he said.
Jha said he has been given the position of working president by Nitish Kumar.
"You interact with everyone, but the trust Nitish Kumar has placed in me has been beneficial to JDU."
Answering a query, Jha said the issue of unemployment concerns the entire country and the Nitish Kumar government has taken steps to address it.
"This is not only an issue of Bihar; this issue is across the nation. But Nitish Kumar has addressed this issue largely in Bihar."
Jha also took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his "vote chori" allegations.
"People from all over the world come and build factories... What is the logic behind this?... No one must have heard of such a narrative. They took out a yatra on vote chori, and then they disappeared. Now, they are not even discussing SIR. He should have contested the Bihar election on the same issue then," he said.
Bihar saw record polling in the first phase of the election, and the second phase voting will be held on November 11. Votes will be counted on November 14.
