"Lalu, Nitish root of all troubles in Bihar": Prashant Kishor reiterates migration issue in Madhepura

Madhepura (Bihar) [India], October 29 : Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Wednesday slammed both National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Mahagathbandhan over migration of people from Bihar, calling Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav "the root of troubles" in the State.
Speaking to reporters in Madhepura, Prashant Kishor appealed to the people of Bihar not to return to other States after casting a vote in the Assembly elections.
He said, "We appeal to them not to return and to remain in Bihar until the elections are over. If they vote for Lalu or Nitish again, they will have to go back, travelling like animals on trains. The people of Bihar have to decide if they want a factory made here or in other states. Lalu and Nitish are the root of all troubles in Bihar."
He added that if Jan Suraaj is voted to power, people will not have to migrate from Bihar.
"People of Bihar who have come to the state from other states will have to return if things do not change here in the next 10-15 days. They will have to return to work in factories in Chennai, Gujarat, Delhi, Mumbai and live in the same conditions there. If things improve and a 'Jan Suraaj' is established, then they will not have to go to other states," he added.
The Jan Suraaj founder has been vocal about migration from Bihar in the run-up to the 243-seat Bihar elections. Last month, he took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Bihar and asked when migration from Bihar will stop and when factories will be established in the State.
Speaking to the reporters, he said, "They will have to tell people when migration from Bihar will stop and when factories will be established in Bihar. You can't win votes in Bihar just by saying factories are being established in Gujarat."
While the Bihar election is being seen as a contest between the Mahagathbandhan and the ruling NDA, Jan Suraaj is contesting on all 243 seats in Bihar. Jan Suraaj's Shashi Kumar is fighting the elections against JD(U)'s Kavita Kumari Saha and RJD's Chandra Shekhar on the Madhepura seat.
The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
