Magnitude 4.7 earthquake strikes western Indonesia

Jakarta [Indonesia], May 6 (ANI/ WAM): A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck west of Tobelo, Indonesia, on Tuesday, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency reported.
The agency said that the quake's epicentre was located 85 kilometres from Tobelo district at a depth of 123.9 kilometres.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. (ANI/ WAM)

India continues its steady rise on the Human Development Index (HDI), ranking 130 out of 193 countries in the 2025 Human Development Report (HDR) released today by the United Nations Development Programme. With an HDI value increasing from 0.676 in 2022 to 0.685 in 2023, India remains in the medium human development category, moving closer to the threshold for high human development (HDI >= 0.700).
