Patna (Bihar) [India], November 5 : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Mrityunjay Tiwari criticised the BJP and NDA for their arrogance and broken promises, comparing their past claims with current realities. He also accused Union Minister Amit Shah of showing arrogance of power for his recent remarks over "No CM vacancy in Bihar". He stated NDA won't even get 60 seats in Bihar, and they are dreaming of 160.

While Speaking with the ANI, he urged the voters to participate in huge numbers to bring about change in the upcoming first phase of voting in Bihar on November 6th. He also asserted that the RJD led alliance would remove the ineffective Nitish government and advocated for Tejashwi Yadav as a Chief Minister candidate.
He added, "Union Minister Amit Shah and the NDA don't trust the people. This arrogance of power is not right. This will ruin the BJP and NDA in Bihar, and NDA won't even get 60 seats in Bihar; they are dreaming of 160. In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, they predicted the BJP would win 400 seats, but in reality, they won fewer seats."
He also showed confidence that the Mahagathbandhan will win over 90 of the 121 seats in the first phase of the Election. He alleged that the BJP and NDA were arrogant and had broken promises, also compared their past claims with current realities. He also mentioned that the RJD's commitment to the poor, social justice, and fighting communal forces.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday asserted that the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition in Bihar will win more than 160 seats in the assembly elections and said people are backing the ruling coalition for its governance and development work.
In an interview with Aaj Tak, Amit Shah said that all five parties in the NDA alliance are in a "comfortable position"."We are in a comfortable position. We will win more than 160 seats and win a majority. (NDA parties) will have almost a similar strike rate," Shah said.
Targeting the RJD, Amit Shah cautioned that if the party and its allies win the polls, "jungle raj" will return to Bihar."RJD has an ideology of lathmar rally....If they win, jungle raj will return with a new face and new clothes," the Union Minister said.
Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections on 121 constituencies will be conducted on November 6 (Thursday).
The remaining 122 constituencies will vote in the second phase on November 11. Counting will take place on November 14.
The 2025 Bihar Elections will have the main contest between the National Democratic Alliance and the Mahagathbandhan.
