Patna (Bihar) [India], November 19 : After the NDA's resounding victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly polls, BJP leader Tarun Chugh launched a scathing attack on the opposition's Mahagathbandhan and said that the people of Bihar have punished the "pioneers of Jungle Raj."
Speaking to reporters at Patna Airport, Tarun Chugh said, "There is a happy wave across the country. The people of Bihar have punished the princes and princesses of the robber gang, the pioneers of jungle raj, those who indulged in bullying and mafia activities. They have blessed the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and PM Modi, who have won development and trust."
He took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha is not considered a leader in the country.
"Neither his family, nor his party, nor the country considers Rahul Gandhi a leader," he further added.
Earlier, Bihar caretaker Nitish Kumar and other NDA leaders arrived at the Gandhi Maidan to review preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of the new state government on November 20.
BJP leader Nitin Nabin called the upcoming swearing-in ceremony a "new flight of development in Bihar".
"So, preparations are being made to see how we can have a celebratory environment for the same. CMs from various states are coming here. PM, HM, and several other Union Ministers are coming. So, the entire NDA family, as well," Nabin told reporters.
"Bihar will celebrate this like a festival...CM himself is reviewing everything," he added.
