"People of Bihar took revenge from Congress for abusing PM and his mother": BJP's Sambit Patra
Nov 14, 2025
New Delhi [India], November 14 : Following the National Democratic Alliance (NDA's) projected landslide victory on over 200 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sambit Patra asserted that whenever Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and his party has abused the Prime Minister and his mother, people have given the mandate against them.
"I'm seeing it on social media, Congress workers themselves are advising Rahul Gandhi. They are telling Rahul Gandhi that whenever you've used abusive language against Prime Minister Modi, Congress has suffered losses. Congress workers themselves are saying this. Before the 2019 elections, Rahul Gandhi had called the Prime Minister "Chowkidar Chor Hai." What was the result? Congress was badly defeated, and the Bharatiya Janata Party crossed 300 seats," Patra said.
He further asserted that Rahul Gandhi abused PM Modi in the Parliament, and people have taken revenge.
"The people of Bihar took revenge on the Congress party, saying that if you use such words for the Prime Minister, if you abuse his mother, you will not be spared," he further added.
Notably, a viral AI-generated video posted by the Bihar Congress before the Bihar Assembly polls allegedly showed Prime Minister Narendra Modi dreaming about his late mother, Heeraben Modi, who is lambasting him over his politics.
The party had come under fire earlier too, when a video of an unknown person at the stage of Congress-led' Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar's Darbhanga, hurling abuses at PM Modi and his mother, surfaced on the internet. The AI-generated video sparked a political row as the BJP leaders slammed Congress.
Meanwhile, the NDA is heading towards setting a new milestone in the 2025 Bihar elections, as it has crossed the 195-mark in the latest trends.
The NDA's performance in Bihar can be attributed to the strong show by major parties like the BJP and JD(U), with comprehensive support from Chirag Paswan's LJP(RV) and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
As per ECI's latest data at 5.50 pm, BJP has won 32, JDU 20, LJP(RV) 2 and HAM 1. The RJD has also won 5 seats, Congress 1 and AIMIM 4, with final tally underway.
