"People will chase him with sticks": Prashant Kishor slams Revanth Reddy for joining 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra' in Bihar

West Champaran (Bihar) [India], August 26 : Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor on Tuesday trained guns on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, rekindling criticism against the latter's "Bihar DNA" remarks, and said that the Congress leader will be "chased with sticks" if he visits a village in the state.
Intensifying his attack, Kishor criticised Leader of Opposition (LoP) Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for inviting Reddy, who, he said, abuses people of Bihar.
"Who is Revanth Reddy? He is someone who uses abusive language for Bihar and the people of Bihar. What is Revanth Reddy's status in Bihar? What has he done for Bihar? He has abused them. He has said that labour work is in the DNA of the people of Bihar. If Revanth Reddy visits any village in Bihar, people would chase him with sticks. Rahul Gandhi has him on his stage, it shows his mindset that he is inviting such a person on stage who abuses the people of Bihar," Kishor told ANI.
The Jan Suraaj Party founder attributed the increase in pension amount to the people's efforts. He said that democracy will remain alive if the people of Bihar "stand up".
"There is so much fear of Jan Suraaj in Bihar that even PM Modi is talking about migration, and Tejashwi Yadav is also talking about migration. For the first time, there is a discussion about migration in Bihar, specifically how to stop it. Jan Suraaj has not won yet, but with the efforts of Jan Suraaj and just by people standing up, the pension of Rs 400, which did not increase to Rs 410 in 20 years, has now become Rs 1,100," Kishor said.
He said that the Jan Suraaj Party will work towards employing Bihar's youth within the state if it comes to power in Bihar.
"If the people of Bihar stand up, democracy will be alive. This is just the beginning; after Chhath, no youth of Bihar will be forced to leave Bihar for a job of 10-12,000. If the government of Jan Suraaj is made, then this thing will be implemented," Kishor said.
In December 2023, Reddy took a dig at former Telangana CM and Bharat Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrashekar Rao, allegedly saying, "Telangana DNA was better than Bihar DNA."
The 16-day 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar, with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav at its forefront, aims to raise awareness about alleged irregularities in the voter list, which opposition leaders have termed a case of vote chori (vote theft). Covering over 1,300 km across 20 districts, the yatra is scheduled to conclude in Patna on September 1.
