"Public property is the property of the nation," says UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 12 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said that those who damage public property should be exposed and held accountable.
He urged people to use their smartphones to record such acts and share them widely, saying the government will put up posters of the offenders and recover the cost of the damage from them.
Speaking at the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "If someone causes any damage to public property, they should be condemned.. You have a smartphone, make those people who damage government property go viral. We will put their posters up and make the recovery. This public property is the property of the nation..."
In the same program, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated 166 meritorious students who ranked in the top 10 of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams (2024-25) across different education boards in Uttar Pradesh. These include the top 10 students each from the UP Board, the Sanskrit Education Council, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the ICSE boards.
Each of the students received 1 lakh rupees, a tablet, a certificate and a medal.
Along with the main state-level event, district-level programmes will also be organised to honour meritorious students. A total of 1,508 students will be awarded at these local ceremonies. Each of these students will receive Rs 21,000, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.
District-level felicitation ceremonies will also take place across all 75 districts, where 1,508 students, including 758 from high school and 750 from intermediate, will be honoured.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) announced the UP Board 2025 results in April. Mehak Jaiwal, a resident of Prayagraj, has topped the Uttar Pradesh Board 12th exams, securing above 97 per cent.
