Rajasthan CM, Deputy CM congratulate Sarpanch Neeru Yadav for participation at UN organized meet

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], May 8 : Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma congratulated Neeru Yadav, the Sarpanch of Lambi Sahar, Surajgarh in Jhunjhunu district for participating in the annual conference, Committee for Development Policy (CDP Meet 2024) and said that her participation and excellent ideas at this conference are an amazing example of inspiration for all the women in the state.
The CDP Meet was organized by the United Nations Commission on Population and Development and sharing unique innovations.
Neeru Yadav is popularly known as Hockey Wali Sarpanch.
"Proud moment...Sarpanch of village Lambi Ahir of Surajgarh assembly of Jhunjhunu district and daughter of Rajasthan, Neeru Yadav (hockey sarpanch) has made the entire state proud on the global stage by becoming a participant in the annual conference (CDP Meet-2024) organized by the Population and Development Commission of the United Nations and sharing her special innovations," the CM posted on X.
"This unforgettable achievement underlines the unique efforts made by her towards women's empowerment. Your participation and excellent ideas in this conference are an amazing example of inspiration for all the women of the state," he added.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari also congratulated Neeru Yadav, for participating in the annual conference.
"Hearty congratulations to Sarpanch Neeru Yadav ji (Hockey wali Sarpanch) of Lambi Sahar, Surajgarh, Jhunjhunu district for achieving a historic achievement on the global platform by participating in the annual conference (CDP Meet 2024) organized by the United Nations Commission on Population and Development and sharing unique innovations," the Deputy CM posted on X.
Meanwhile, while sharing her efforts in empowering the women of her village, Neeru Yadav in the conference said that she constructed a playground and made a team of hockey players who can build their careers in sports.
"When I moved to the village from the city, I saw a wealth of talent among the girls and women of the villages. I brought about the construction of a playground in my village to harness this talent. I also made a team of hockey players so that they could build a career in sports and empower themselves. I faced a lot of opportunities while doing all these things," she said.
Yadav further described her challenges by saying, "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight with you and finally you win."
