Union Minister Khattar participates in tree plantation drive on PM Modi's birthday

New Delhi [India], September 17 : Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday participated in a tree plantation drive on the occasion of the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The tree plantation drive was conducted at the Bhalswa Landfill Site in the capital city of Delhi.
Speaking to reporters on this occasion, Khattar prayed for the long life of the Prime Minister.
He further said that on September 25, which marks the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the BJP will organise a big cleanliness drive.
"It is PM Modi's birthday today...I pray to God for his long life...From 17 September to 2 October, it is a 15-day-long Pakhwada in which several service works will be conducted across the country. Cleanliness is one of them...It is Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's birthday on 25 September, and we will organise a big cleanliness drive that day...DDA (Delhi Development Authority) will be the partner organisation for this drive. It has a big role in Delhi's cleanliness...I will monitor this myself...I appeal to everyone to take a pledge to keep cleanliness in Delhi and other states...." Khattar said.
Meanwhile, in Karnal, Union Minister Khattar said, "On the occasion of PM Modi's birthday I pray to god for his long life...'Sewa Pakhwada' is being organised across the nation...Blood donation camps are being organised in various parts of the nation...These programs will continue for 15 days..."
Celebrations for Prime Minister Modi's 75th birthday are underway across the country, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organising a fortnight-long sewa pakhwada with various events.
A 15-day nationwide campaign named Seva Pakhwada has been organised to mark PM Modi's birthday. Under this campaign, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to conduct blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and exhibitions across the country to showcase the achievements of the central government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, born on September 17 1950, officially joined the RSS in 1971, but he was introduced to the Sangh at a much younger age.
In 1985, he was assigned to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, and quickly rose through the party's ranks, becoming its General Secretary in 1998. Three years later, in 2001, he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. 13 years after that, in 2014, Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India for the first time.
