"UP prepared to eliminate parties that promote nepotism, corruption": Uttarakhand CM

Budaun (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 5 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a grand roadshow in support of a BJP candidate from Budaun on Sunday and said that the people of Uttar Pradesh are prepared to eliminate the parties that promote nepotism and corruption in this Lok Sabha election.

The grand roadshow was held in support of the BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Budaun, Durvijay Singh Shakya in the state's Budaun district.
Speaking at the roadshow, Chief Minister Dhami said, "The huge crowd in the roadshow is ensuring that the people of Uttar Pradesh are ready to completely wipe out the parties promoting nepotism and corruption in this Lok Sabha election."
"The way the country is developing in all aspects and in all aspects under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is clear that the people of the country are excited to make him the Prime Minister for the third time," added CM Dhami.

The party has fielded Durvijay Singh Shakya from the constituency. The INDIA alliance has fielded SP candidate Aditya Yadav from the Budaun Lok Sabha seat which is set to vote on May 7, in the third phase.

The polling in Uttar Pradesh, which sends the most members to the Lower House, at 80, is being held in all seven phases of the parliamentary elections. Voting in 16 seats was completed in the first two phases.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP took a lion's share of the electoral spoils, winning 62 out of 80 seats in the state, with 2 more won by ally Apna Dal (S).
Mayawati's BSP managed to secure 10 seats, while Akhilesh Yadav's SP had to settle for just five.
The Congress was reduced to just a lone seat.
