Uttarakhand CM Dhami extends his greetings to people of state on eve of Christmas

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], December 24 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his greetings to the people of the state, especially members of the Christian community, on the eve of Christmas on Wednesday. In his message, the Chief Minister said that the festival of Christmas conveys the ideals of service, sacrifice, love, and compassion.
He said that Christmas is a celebration that strengthens the spirit of brotherhood and encourages sharing happiness. The Chief Minister added that Uttarakhand has a rich and proud tradition of celebrating all festivals together in harmony.
Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended greetings to fellow citizens on the eve of Christmas, according to a release from Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In a message, the President has said, "On this auspicious occasion of Christmas, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all citizens, especially brothers and sisters of the Christian community.
"Christmas, the festival of joy and enthusiasm, conveys the message of love and compassion. It reminds us of the sacrifice made by Lord Jesus Christ for the welfare of humanity. This sacred occasion inspires us to further strengthen the values of peace, harmony, equality, and service in society," said President Murmu.
"Let us resolve to follow the path shown by Jesus Christ and work towards building a society that promotes kindness and mutual harmony," said the release.
