"We have to see it from the right perspective": Pawan Kalyan slams Congress for criticising govt over Dhankhar's resignation

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 22 : Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday lauded outgoing Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar following his resignation.
Kalyan stated that the matter should be viewed from the right perspective, not from the way the Congress party is looking at it.
"Dhankhar ji is a man of great integrity, intellect, ability, and his legal acumen is brilliant, and a man of high political acumen, political wisdom. We have to see it from the right perspective; there is no need to look at it from another perspective, which the Congress is looking at", Kalyan said.
Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned as the Vice-President late on Monday citing his health.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, who was in the Chair, announced that Jagdeep Dhankhar's resignation as Vice President of India has been accepted by President Droupadi Murmu.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Member of Parliament (MP), Mahua Maji, said Dhankhar could have resigned after the conclusion of the Monsoon session.
"This is very shocking for everyone. He could have resigned after the conclusion of the Monsoon session. Everyone is making assumptions regarding the reason behind Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar's resignation. There should be clarity on it," said Maji.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also questioned the Central government over Dhankhar's resignation, claiming that the latter seemed in fine health.
Referring to Congress MP Jairam Ramesh's X post, which alleged "deeper reasons" behind the resignation, Priyanka Chaturvedi demanded that the government inform the reason behind the decision and also recalled the non-confidence motion against Dhankhar in December 2024.
Speaking to ANI, she said, "For the first time in the history of India, a no-confidence motion was signed by over 50 members of the Parliament because of the partisan manner in which the House was being conducted. He (VP Jagdeep Dhankhar) was a partisan. It is for the government to tell us what was the reason for the sudden resignation, because he seemed in fine health."
She added that despite the health concerns, Rajya Sabha Chairman Dhankhar used to conduct parliamentary proceedings.
