Patna (Bihar) [India], November 3 : CPI MP P Sandosh on Monday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling his political opponents "urban Naxals" during the election rallies in Bihar. He also alleged that the BJP has no "positive thing" to say.
"Whosoever he (PM Modi) doesn't like, he starts calling them urban Naxals... In politics and in a democracy, it is natural that some people will oppose you... But whosoever opposes them, they suddenly start calling them urban Naxals... They don't have any positive thing to say," Sandosh told ANI.
On Sunday, while addressing an election rally in Bihar's Nawada, PM Modi had said, "The urban naxals living in cities have lost their sleep at night seeing that Maoist terrorists, who once carried weapons in their hands, are now carrying a Constitution in their hands."
The Prime Minister had slammed the RJD for its "jungle raj."
"RJD's jungle raj had only one identity. As I say this, each one of you will believe that your Modi is telling the truth. They had only one identity: 'katta', cruelty, bitterness, bad manners, bad governance, and corruption. The signs of jungle raj stained Magadh's pride with massacre and social division. If someone's salary increased in Bihar, he would get worried because a higher salary meant paying more extortion to the RJD," he said.
Meanwhile, hitting out at the Mahagathbandhan, the Union Home Minister on Monday emphasised that the opposition alliance will be "wiped out" in the Bihar elections on November 14, highlighting their lack of leadership and clarity in policy making.
Shah emphasised the National Democratic Alliance's unity, comparing the alliance to the five Pandavas of the Mahabharat.
"On November 14, the parties of Rahul and Lalu will be completely wiped out. The NDA government is going to be formed here once again. The Mahagathbandhan has neither a leader nor a clear policy. They don't even know who is contesting from which seat. Meanwhile, all five parties of the NDA, united like the Pandavas, are contesting together for all 243 seats in Bihar," Shah said while addressing a rally in Shivhar.
Shah highlighted the redevelopment project of the Sitamarhi temple, noting that on the day of the temple's consecration ceremony, the Vande Bharat Express connecting Sitamarhi and Ayodhya will also be flagged off.
"On the same day that the consecration ceremony of Goddess Sita's temple will take place in Sitamarhi, we will also launch the Vande Bharat train from Sitamarhi to Ayodhya. Those who come to Ayodhya will also visit Sitamarhi, and this will greatly benefit tourism in Bihar," Shah said.
The polling for the Bihar assembly elections will take place on November 6 and 11, respectively, and the result will be declared on November 14.
