Yogi Adityanath conducts roadshow in UP's Mainpuri, claims SP-Congress will push India towards slavery

Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 2 : Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a road show in the constituency of Mainpuri and said that the alliance of Congress and SP will take India towards slavery.
Addressing the gathering the CM said, "The alliance of Congress and SP is once again conspiring to push India towards slavery. They are trying to give away the reservation rights of SC, ST, and OBC to minorities."
He also said that voting for the INDI alliance will equal playing with India's faith. "Giving vote to INDI means playing with the faith of India. And any true India, who respects his faith, will not let the alliance of Congress get the success," Yogi Adityanath said.
The Uttar Pradesh CM also took to his official X handle and tweeted about conducting a roadshow and said that the people will vote for good governance and development.

"The residents of Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency are going to create history this time. People here will vote for security, good governance and development, they will vote for Modi ji," he tweeted.
Mainpuri is the erstwhile seat of late Mulayam Singh Yadav and this time the fight is between Dimple Yadav of the Samajwadi Party and BJP's Jaiveer Singh. Mainpuri goes to the polls on May 7 in Phase 3 of the elections with all the results to be declared on June 4.
UP, which sends the maximum 80 MPs to the Lok Sabha, is undergoing polling across all seven phases. The counting of all seven phases of voting will be held on June 4.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the winner by securing the majority of seats available.
Of 80 seats, the BJP won 62, followed by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) with 10 seats, the Samajwadi Party (SP) with five seats, and the Apna Dal with two seats.
