Kohli announced his retirement from the longest format on May 12, ending a remarkable red-ball career that has left an indelible mark on world cricket.
Reacting to it, de Villiers said, "He must have listened to his heart... He followed his gut feeling. He has done a lot for cricket around the world over the years and luckily, we will still see him on the cricket field."
