5 contacts of Omicron infected person test COVID positive: Karnataka Health Minister

Bengaluru, Dec 02 (ANI): After two cases of new COVID-19 variant, Omicron were reported in Karnataka, State Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar on December 02 said that five persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 after coming in contact of Omicron infected person. “2 people found positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19. One person is about a 66-year-old, South African national, who has gone back. Another person is a 46-year-old doctor. He doesn't have any travel history,” said Karnataka Health Minister. “Out of his (doctor's) primary and secondary contact, 5 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19. So a total of 6 people have been isolated, admitted to govt hospital. None of them showing any serious symptoms. All these people are fully vaccinated,” he added.
