Imphal (Manipur), Jan 04 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 22 developmental projects worth over Rs 4,800 crore in Imphal, Manipur on January 04.Speaking at the inaugural event, PM said, “A few days from now, on January 21, Manipur will get statehood, 50 years will be completed. At present, the country is also celebrating Amrit Mahotsav on 75 years of its independence. This time is a big inspiration in itself. There was a time when Manipur was left to be on its own. I came to Manipur multiple times before I became the PM. I knew the pain in your hearts. So, after 2014, I brought the entire Govt of India to your doorstep.” “Until a few years, only 6 per cent of people of Manipur received piped water in their houses. Today, that network has expanded to 60 per cent of the houses because of Jal Jeevan Mission program. You formed a stable government in Manipur which is running with full majority and with full force,” PM added.
