75 Digital Banking Units set up in record time in 75 districts in India: RBI Governor

New Delhi, Oct 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated 75 digital banking units across 75 districts in India on October 16. RBI Governor said, “RBI taking progressive measures to improve the availability of digital infrastructure from banking services. After the announcement in Budget 2022-23 for setting up 75 Digital Banking Units, RBI issued guidelines after consulting Indian Banks' Association, commercial banks and experts.” He added, “Heartening to note that commercial banks - both in public and private sector - have responded very positively to this initiative. 75 Digital Banking Units set up in a record 6 months' time in 75 districts spread across the country to commemorate 75 years of independence.”
