7.8% GDP Growth: US-India business council Prez Keshap hails India’s economic rise, PM Modi’s govt

Former US Ambassador Atul Keshap, President of the US-India Business Council, highlighted India-US shared values on innovation and free markets during remarks at NASDAQ. He noted NASDAQ’s market capitalisation exceeds $37 trillion and said leading American tech stocks are listed there. Keshap said the US-India Business Council applauds Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India for India’s impressive 7.8% GDP growth. He said the growth reflects strong business and investor confidence in India, adding that the country is on track to become a developed economy and could potentially reach a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
