8 held for illegal Aadhaar enrollments, data changes in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 25 (ANI): Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on December 24 informed that a gang of eight persons have been apprehended by Golconda Police for cheating the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) by doing Aadhaar operations in unauthorized locations for their illegal gains. While addressing press conference Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said, “Hyderabad Police arrested 8 members of a gang involved in forging birth certificates for enrolment and updation of Aadhaar cards. They misused Aadhaar's process. Police seized 6 Aadhaar kits and forms attested by fake officers.”
