Hyderabad (Telangana), Nov 05, 2026 (ANI): On invoking the victory of Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed in the US Senate race in Michigan to call for a stronger Muslim political identity in UP, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, "Abdul won in Michigan. Did this not become and issue when I said something on it. BJP people used to say 'puncture banata hai Abdul'. SP people used to 'Abdul dari bicchayega'. We are saying that in a democracy, Abdul has become Senator, so now 'Abdul' will not bow his head before anyone but become an MLA, a leader in UP. That is what I was trying to say."
