‘Abdul will become MLA, MP’: Owaisi attacks Akhilesh, calls for independent muslim leadership in UP

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp political attack on the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav during a public gathering in Uttar Pradesh, calling for independent political leadership for Muslims and other marginalised communities. Owaisi said young Muslims have the potential to become MLAs and MPs rather than remain dependent on established political leaders. He accused the SP and other parties claiming to represent secular politics of treating Muslims as vote banks while failing to adequately address issues such as poverty, education, healthcare and social justice. Referring to the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Owaisi urged supporters to strengthen the AIMIM's grassroots presence and build support at every polling booth. He also highlighted low literacy rates and economic hardships in Rampur and appealed for greater representation, dignity and equality for disadvantaged communities.
