Afghanistan’s territory should not be used to spread terrorism: PM Modi at 76th UNGA

New York (USA), Sep 25 (ANI): While addressing the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 25 (IST) reiterated that the world should ensure that territory of Afghanistan is not used to spread terrorism and for terrorist activities. “It is absolutely essential to ensure that Afghanistan's territory is not used to spread terrorism and for terrorist activities,” said PM Modi. “We also need to ensure that no country tries to take advantage of delicate situation in Afghanistan and use it for its own selfish interests. At this time, people of Afghanistan, women and children, minorities need help. We must fulfil our duties by providing them with help,” he added. Prime Minister Modi also advised countries with regressive thinking to not use terrorism as political tool as he feels terrorism is equally big threat to them.
