Kathmandu (Nepal), Dec 24 (ANI): Nepal’s women’s cricket team has a strong chance of qualifying for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, according to newly appointed head coach Harshal Jayant Pathak. Speaking to the media a week after taking charge, Pathak expressed confidence, citing Nepal’s growing experience and home advantage as key factors. The ICC is hosting its largest-ever qualifying tournament in Nepal at the Mulpani grounds in Kathmandu. With over 20 years of coaching experience, Pathak previously guided Thailand to their first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup in 2020 and has worked closely with Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Nepal, making its first appearance at the global qualifiers, will compete in Group B alongside Scotland, Thailand, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe, aiming for a historic World Cup berth.
