Amit Shah calls for reforms during 48th All India Police Science Congress

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), April 22 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on April 22 called for reforms in policing practices across the country and also spoke about the revival of the Khabri (informer) system. He said, “The time of British era 'danda-based' policing is over. Now, it's imperative that policing is done on the basis of knowledge, evidence, and logic. We have to change the science of policing.” “There is a need to revive the Khabri system and I am using the word revive, after giving it much thought,” he further added.
