Amit Shah promises to hold peace talks with tribal insurgents if BJP voted to power in Manipur

Kangpokpi (Manipur), Feb 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah on February 23 promised to hold peace talks with Kuki tribal insurgents if the party is voted to power in Manipur. “For the first time in 45 years, there has been peace in Manipur. Manipur is moving away from the path of the bandh, blockade, terrorism, and drugs, on the path of development, peace, and prosperity. PM has done many developments works in North East as well as in Manipur,” said HM Shah at a rally in Kangpokpi. “I want to promise to the people of Manipur that if you elect us once again we will hold peace talks with Kuki tribal insurgents and will ensure that they join the mainstream,” Shah added.
