“Among Friends…” PM Modi’s remarks at powerful Quad leaders meet in Japan
May 20, 2023
Hiroshima (Japan), May 20 (ANI): The highly awaited Quad Leaders’ Summit 2023 began in Japan’s Hiroshima on May 20. The Quad leaders, US President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, and Australian PM Anthony Albanese, gathered to commence the Summit. Notably, the 2023 Quad Summit was originally scheduled to be held in Australia, however, due to the last-minute cancellation by US President, the Summit was scheduled to be held soon after the G7 Summit in Japan itself. The Australia trip was cancelled by the US supremo due to the ongoing debt ceiling talks in his home country. “We will be happy to host the Quad summit in India in 2024,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Quad meeting in Hiroshima, Japan.
