Andhra gas leak: Around 800-1000 people admitted in hospital, says NDRF DG

New Delhi, May 07 (ANI): While speaking to ANI in the national capital on May 07, the DG of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), SN Pradhan spoke on Visakhapatnam gas leak tragedy. He said, “This incident was reported by the local population at around 02:30 am late in the night. They faced throat and skin related issues with some toxic smell. NDRF was informed at 05:00-05:30 am in the morning. They reached within half an hour and started the operation.” “Gas leakage has died down and most of the operation is now limited to evacuation and treatment of people in the hospital. 800-1000 people were admitted to the hospital,” NDRF DG added.
