AQI remains under 'severe' category in NCR

Noida/ Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 16 (ANI): The air quality of National Capital Region (NCR) continues to reel. Thick layer of smog once again enveloped the sky in Noida and Ghaziabad on November 16. Residents of Ghaziabad have complained of spike in respiratory problems, allergies and other health issues. According to the National Air Quality Index (NAQI) data, major pollutants in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area stands at 437, Loni at 440, Vasundhara at 430, all in 'severe' category. On November 01, the Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution Prevention and Control Authority (EPCA) declared public health emergency due to rising air pollution levels.
