AR Rahman mourns Lata Mangeshkar’s demise

Chennai, Feb 06 (ANI): Oscar awardee Music Composer and singer AR Rahman on February 06 expressed his sorrow on the demise of legendary singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. “It's a sad day for us. Somebody like Lata Ji isn't just an icon, she's a part of India's music and poetry. This void will remain forever. I used to wake up to a picture of Lata Didi's face and get inspired. I was lucky to record a few songs and sing along with her,” said AR Rahman. Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital today after prolonged illness.
