Art-loving youth embrace theatre culture in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 10 (ANI): In the age of social media, the young generation’s love for theatre plays has not faded in Kashmir. Theatre is considered the backbone of the culture and traditions of Kashmir. It plays a major role in entertaining people and highlighting social issues. Kashmiri theatre has its own importance and art-loving youth have always preferred to watch all types of cultural activities. J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) is a very important organisation that plays a major role in organizing a number of drama festivals aimed to attract young artists and provide them with a specific platform. With the help of such types of theatre plays, a good number of artists are getting a proper chance to show their calibre, which is very important to keep theatre activities alive for future generations. For the last few years, a number of theatre groups have been very active and cultural academy is supporting them to promote theatre in the valley. Cultural activities including sufiyana music and theatre plays are the best solution to reduce any kind of mental stress. People, especially art lovers, are always visiting Tagore Hall to enjoy these activities.
