Assam CM hopeful for border resolution with Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh this year

Dibrugarh (Assam), Jan 05 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took part in the Second Conference of Superintendents of Police (SP) of all districts held at Oil India Headquarters at Duliajan in Dibrugarh district on January 04. Addressing the session, CM Himanta said that he is hopeful for some resolution of the longstanding border disputes with Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya in the year 2022. “With Arunachal Pradesh, our issue was resolved in 1987, but due to technical hindrance we couldn’t sign the agreement, but I’m hopeful for some resolution,” he added.
