Assam: People throng jewellery shops on occasion of Dhanteras

Guwahati (Assam), Oct 22 (ANI): On the occasion of Dhanteras, people thronged jewellery shops in Delhi on October 22. Dhanteras is celebrated two days prior to Diwali. This day is considered auspicious to purchase gold and silver jewellery and utensils. The sales of jewellery during Diwali and Dhanteras were not good for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the sellers are now hoping to see good sales this year.
