Aurangabad: Thousands of fishes die as water level in Godavari river drops at alarming rate

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), May 12 (ANI): Locals in Nagaon village of Maharashtra’s Aurangabad are alleging that the dropping water level in Godavari river is killing thousands of fishes. One of the locals said, “Water level is dropping since the past two months causing the deaths. Even drinking water isn't available for humans and animals." Several districts in Maharashtra are facing acute water shortage and centre and state governments are mulling steps to tackle the situation.
