Azam Khan booked under 3 sections for making derogatory remarks on Jaya Prada

Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), July 03 (ANI): While speaking to ANI on matter of Samajwadi Party (SP) Member of Parliament (MP) Azam Khan, who has been booked for making derogatory remarks on Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) leader Jaya Prada, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Rampur district Vidya Kishor said, “At an event on June 30, he made some remarks against Jaya Prada. Mohd. Mustafa Ahmad filed a complaint against around seven people including Azam Khan and ST Hasan.” “Case has been registered under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of Indian Penal Code,” he added. Azam Khan was earlier booked for his alleged ‘Khakhi Chaddi’ remarks-a colour associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) against Jaya during Lok Sabha elections.
