Baur reservoir in Uttarkhand a new eco-tourism destination

Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand), Feb 09 (ANI): Uttarakhand Government declared Baur reservoir a tourism center. Tourists influx has started to witness beautiful destination. Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Arvind Pandey said, “The state government has declared the Baur and Haripura reservoirs as tourism centers under the '13 district 13 destination 'program. Now many types of works including beautification, hotels, restaurants, boat houses, motor boats are being started soon. This will also provide employment opportunities to the people here.” The Baur reservoir has an area of 1626 hectares and a length of 9.5 km. It consists of the main rivers Baur and Kakrala from the hilly region. A direct gypsy service will be started from Corbett to the Baur reservoir will also be added.
