UP becomes first state in India to administer over 25 crore COVID vaccine doses

Lucknow (UP), Jan 24 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in India to administer more than 25 crore vaccine doses. Speaking to ANI, State Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Health Amit Mohan Prasad on January 24 said, “In the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 11,159 cases of COVID were reported and 10,836 people were discharged. There are 93,924 active cases in the state. In the last 24 hours, 17 people died out of infected people. Yesterday's test positivity rate has been 6.19 per cent, the positivity rate is decreasing continuously for the last few days. Uttar Pradesh has become the first state to administer more than 25 crore vaccine doses.”
