Apr 16, 2022

Kolkata, April 16 (ANI): Counting of votes for Ballygunge Assembly and Asansol Lok Sabha seats is underway on April 16 in West Bengal. The counting of votes began at 8 am. For the Ballygunge Assembly bypoll, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) fielded Keya Ghosh while Babul Supriyo from Trinamool Congress (TMC) is in the fray for the bypoll election. Trinamool Congress has fielded former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contested Agnimitra Paul from the Asansol constituency for the bypoll. “I'm confident. The 41 per cent voters turnout here rubbishes Opposition’s unnecessary claim of false voting. Had that been the case, would turnout have been this huge? West Bengal is with Mamta Banerjee and TMC,” said TMC candidate from Ballygunge Assembly seat bypoll, Babul Supriyo.
