Jun 30, 2025

Vanch (Gujarat), June 28 (ANI): In Vanch village near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Amit Bhai Shah has turned the humble Falsa berry into a successful rural enterprise. Though his family had cultivated the antioxidant-rich berry for years, it was during the pandemic that Amit recognized its value as a natural health booster. Starting with just 100–500 kg of pulp and a few workers, his venture gained momentum after he received a ₹1 lakh subsidy for a pulp machine. Today, his Falsa pulp business earns ₹12–13 lakh annually, with ₹8–10 lakh in profits. Amit’s journey highlights how innovation, government support, and value addition in horticulture can empower rural livelihoods.
