Bradford (UK), June 09, 2026(ANI): Big breaking from UK as Kashmiri diaspora, activists, and community representatives protest outside Pakistani Consulate in Bradford. The protestors demanding international attention to what they described as a worsening human rights situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK). The demonstrators voiced concern over reports alleging the use of force against participants involved in peaceful protests advocating for fundamental rights & public welfare demands. Protest organisers claimed that security operations across the region caused casualties and injuries, prompting calls for independent scrutiny. Protesters said, authorities have imposed curfews and movement restrictions in several districts, including Sudhanoti & Poonch disrupted daily life & limited access to essential services. The reported restrictions, they argued, have further heightened fears among residents and contributed to growing unrest. Participants in Bradford protest claimed they have testimonies, photos, videos, and evidence supporting allegations of excessive force and human rights violations. They called for an immediate, transparent, and independent investigation into the reported incidents. Protesters also alleged house raids, arbitrary detentions, intimidation of civilians, and called for impartial international human rights investigation. Protesters urged UN, human rights groups, media, and lawmakers to monitor the region and support credible independent investigations. Organisers emphasised that public grievances should be addressed through dialogue, democratic engagement, and respect for fundamental freedoms, not coercive measures. They argued that sustainable peace and stability could only be achieved through accountability, transparency, and adherence to human rights principles. The participants expressed solidarity with families reportedly affected by the unrest.
