Patna (Bihar), Jul 03 (ANI): Bihar government on Wednesday distributed mangoes and mango saplings to state MLAs and MLCs. According to them, the move to plant more trees was taken to save the environment. However, in the backdrop of over 150 deaths due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) outbreak in Muzaffarpur, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has criticised the move and said while children are dying, the state government is distributing mangoes. “The BJP people should eat those mangoes. While poor people are dying, they are thinking of mangoes. The central and state governments should feel ashamed,” said RJD leader Rabri Devi. After the distribution of mangoes and mango saplings, state Industry Minister Shyam Rajak said, “The environment is in danger these days. Mango saplings are a way to ask people to plant more trees so that the problem can be solved.”
