“Both communities desire peace…” Manipur Guv Uikey after visiting relief camps in Churachandpur

Churachandpur (Manipur), July 29 (ANI): Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey on July 29 visited relief camps and met victims of the ethnic violence in Churachandpur. "People are asking when will peace be restored in the state. I am constantly trying that people from both communities should talk to each other to restore peace. Both communities desire peace. We are talking to them and also to all political parties to help in this process,” said the Governor after interacting with the victims. Also commenting on the two-day visit of Opposition MPs of ‘INDIA’ parties to the state, the Governor said, “I appeal to them to contribute towards restoring peace in the state.”
