Nandhaur Sanctuary (Uttarakhand), Jun 11 (ANI): Now visitors can witness beautiful colourful butterfly species at Uttarakhand’s Nandhaur Wildlife Sanctuary. The mesmerizing Butterfly Zone has been constructed adjacent to the river Nandhaur. Several seedlings have been planted to suit habitat of butterflies. The forest department has several other kinds of seedlings which are helpful for their habitat. There are as many as 45 butterfly species. The purpose of establishing Butterfly Zone in Nandhaur is to promote butterfly related research and it will be a new experience for tourists too. While speaking to mediapersons, a forest official said, “It will increase the tourism and local people get benefit from it. We are trying to minimise the gap between the common people and the animals because people think that wild animals harm them.”
