CAA doesn't affect interest of any Indian citizen: Jagdeep Dhankhar

Kolkata, Dec 18 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Kolkata, Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday said that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 doesn't affect the interest of any Indian citizen. He said, “Citizenship Act doesn't affect the interest of any Indian citizen. I've been pained about the situation particularly in Malda and Murshidabad, where there is deep sense of fear. I've indicated to senior most bureaucrat &DGP that I'd like to visit the affected-areas.” “An elected government is fully bound by the law of the land. The CM took oath to act according to the Constitution, and this law (#CitizenshipAmendmentAct) is part of the Constitution,” he added.
