Dec 16, 2019
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 16 (ANI): Chairman of National Commission for Minorities, Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi appealed the protestors of Jamia and AMU to do it peacefully and on the other hand, he appealed the police to control the situation calmly. Rizvi said, “CAB is not against the Muslims of this country so they don’t need to protest against it. And even, if they are protesting, they could do it in more peaceful manner.” On protests in Jamia Millia Islamia and AMU, he said, “I appeal to the protesters that such protests should not be done. I also appeal to the police that they should show some restraint and control the situation calmly. I also appeal to the protesters that protest isn't needed as Citizenship Amendment Act isn't against Muslims of India. If at all they're protesting, it should be done peacefully. If Commission feels the need to issue notice, it'll be done.”
